Though I’d like to think of myself as Fred Astaire on the dance floor, with my weightless feet, graceful movements and eloquent poise, to most I evoke visions of Seinfeld’s Elaine — moving about as though I suffer from an uncontrollable tic. I’ve failed at the Macarena, still can’t master the Cha Cha Slide and I never really understood the Tootsie Roll (the candy, yes; the dance moves, no). But I’m working on a new one — the Moo La Moove, thanks to singer-songwriter Steve Azar. The directions are fairly easy. Even the creator of the dance, Gary Valentine (King of Queens and Mall Cop), is there to show you every step of the way. “I hate to use the word virus,” Azar told me about the dance, “but if there was a good virus, this is it.”
