Despite Show Cancellations, Stop Picking on Sugarland

The way some Sugarland “fans” are posting and blogging and message-boarding, you’d think lead singer Jennifer Nettles canceled a couple shows in California because she wanted to get a mani/pedi. She is on vocal rest. Ordered by a real live doctor. There is nothing she can do about it. It comes with the job sometimes and it sucks for everyone. I’m pretty sure she hates canceling shows more than fans will ever know. And had Sugarland gone on and performed, with Nettles struggling to get through the band’s long list of hits, would that have made everyone happy? Or would they then be bitching about how she sounded off? I think a little more sympathy is in order and a lot less complaining.
