Oh, to live in Nashville and run into this crew at Nucci’s Italian Ice: country hitmakers Chris DuBois, Ashley Gorley and Kelley Lovelace, movie star Kimberly Williams-Paisley and her hubby Brad Paisley. They were there with a group Monday afternoon (March 22) to celebrate Paisley’s latest biggies, “Welcome to the Future” and “American Saturday Night.” Both songs celebrate different reasons for loving our country, political and cultural progress and the welcoming melting pot it has become, respectively. “Those songs are pieces of a puzzle for me,” Paisley said. “There’s a lot of things I want to say and a lot of places I want to go, and these were two of them. They are pieces of my life in one way or another, and they are (my) observations on the world and our country and … both songs are celebrations of that.” No word on whether he also got a French kiss and Spanish moss in the moonlight along with the Italian ice mentioned in “American Saturday Night.”
