FAQ

What is FanCountry?

FanCountry is the “new cool” online country music fan destination to review, share and source all country music information through a single web experience. FanCountry allows people to easily access music as well as share opinions and experiences for all of their favorite country artists through websites, mobile devices, blogs and email.

People can access first-hand accounts of current events, new artists, music and video in and around this new country music community! As more people join the community, FanCountry could potentially become the first point of entry for the introduction of new country music.

FanCountry is a privately held company and came began out of the love of country music. Avid fans decided they were going to create a single site that they would be able to source all information on country music.

Please note that you must be a FanCountry member and logged in to modify your profile. You must also be logged in to see any other member’s personal page.

Where can I make posts? Who sees them?

There are three types of posts on FanCountry. Artist posts, Friends Posts and Location posts.

Artist posts can be made on any artist page. These posts are available on the artist’s page and the 10 latest posts are displayed on the main page in the artist section as well as on the main page in the Fan’s section of this site. Artists posts are also sent via daily or weekly email to members that also have added that artist to their favorites.

Friends posts are posted by clicking through on a members page. This message is displayed on that persons page and is also emailed to that person on submission.

Location posts are in the local section. This is the only place they are visible.

Please note that you must be a FanCountry member and logged in to post.

What are favorites?

Favorites are set up for a few reasons.

Artists are ranked on FanCountry by order of popularity. This is the number of FanCountry members that have added the artists to their favorites.

The more fans, the more prominence that artist has on FanCountry.

News and posts for each artist in your favorites will also be emailed to you daily or weekly based on your preferences so you will be kept in the loop with current news and comments about the artist. If you do not want to receive this email, you may opt-out by changing your preferences on your profile page.

Please note that you must be a FanCountry member and logged in to add an artist to your favorites.

What if I can’t find an artist in the database?

FanCountry works hard to make sure that the FanCountry database is comprehensive. An artist must be signed to any label as well as have music that is classified in the Country genre .. so sorry Celine Dion… no dice.

If the artist you are searching for is not in our database, then please send us your recommendation and we will do our best to research and include the artist in our database in short order. Generally expect a 1 day turn around.

I know an artist, but they are not signed by a record label. Can they be added to the database?

Sadly at this point in time, no. In the near future we will be extending FanCountry to include budding artists and unsigned artists where the FanCountry members can discover, listen and provide feedback to the artist.
